Six

Six:
Each translucent,
With a long, flat form.
It is wide one way and paper-thin the other.
Riveting and ridged,
Some are rose-colored
In their delicate wings for swimming.
On each side of each rounded face,
There is an unblinking,
Open eye.
A thin film surrounds in,
Each stares into the calm waters
As a thin body flits past.
Everything about the six
Is this way and that,
Quick and brilliantly sparkling.

Do those eyes spy me
Through the great wall?
I cannot tell,
So I drop a few flakes into the water.
